A fun down to earth individual with a brilliant creative mind. Fun to work with and gets the job done. I can’t wait to have my next project so I can partner with her again”

– -Carmona, Creative Director Mind Handle Advertising, Dallas (Office Space for Agency)

“I won’t keep you in suspense. I was very impressed with Juli’s work. What made it even more impressive was that she’s never even been to my house; she did the design long distance, all via e-mail! She stayed well within my budget and gave me great value of service and all of the furniture is of high quality. Passionate, professional, very easy to work with! Everyone that has seen the setup loves it and it accomplished exactly what I wanted. I’ve already recommended her to a few friends of mine. Each time that I walk into the house and see my setup, I know that I made the right choice by having Juli do the design.”

– Paul Lester, Long Distance Residential Client, Charlotte NC (Living, Foyer & Dining Room)

Working with Juliana is like being handed many wonderful gifts at once: the gifts of her time, her talents, her vision, and her spirit. She has this unique ability to take your house and turn it not just into a home, but a true work of art. Carefully building her masterpiece layer upon layer, with sophisticated and well-thought arrangements of color, texture, and structure, she will ‘wow’ not just you as her client, but all of your future guests in your home. I am amazed at how many friends and guests have remarked that they themselves feel ‘at home’ in my own home, and that really speaks to Juliana’s skill as a designer.

– Clint Rohr, Residential Client, Dallas (Contemporary Remodel and Design)

” Juliana is amazing. I love everything she’s done to my new home. She really did an excellent job by giving my home great personality. She was very timely, fun and easy to work with. I look forward to hiring her again in the near future, and will definitely refer her to anyone in need.”

– Lewis, Residential Client, Dallas (Midcentury Modern Living Room and Kid’s Bedroom Design)

“I LOVE everything! The colors, the textures, all of it. I can’t wait to change the appliances in the kitchen and see the full transformation. We will def[inetely] be referring you to any of our communities in the future looking for design help”

– -Collen, Community Manager CWS Property Management, Dallas (Model Apartment)

“I love the enthusiasm and passion Juliana shows in her work. She showed true dedication to providing the best quality of work. Extremely professional in every manner and would always provide direct feedback. I was truly impressed with the outcome.”

#interior design course

The Professional Interior Design Course

  • You will be in demand. Almost everyone needs or desires the services of an interior designer at one time or another. This means clients are willing to pay for your design talent.
  • Work from home. As an interior designer you can work from home on a full or part-time basis, or make interior design a profitable sideline.
  • Indulge your creative side. A vast range of design and design product companies rely on an interior designer to assist in creative projects. The experience of working alongside other creative professionals is both exciting and rewarding.
  • Share your flair. You’ll have the required knowledge and skills to assist family and friends. Watch the interest that is created when you say, “I’m studying interior design”.
  • Meet new people. This is a profession that puts you in touch with interesting people and allows you to do interesting things.
  • Be rewarded for your knowledge. Interior designers also enjoy great professional benefits. For example it’s common practice for professional designers to be offered valuable discounts on furnishings, decor, art, accessories and more. With the right knowledge you can also gain entry to “professional only” showrooms, exclusive trade shows and design expos.
  • Experience work freedom. This is an easy way to become self-employed whatever your current lifestyle. You can basically set your own schedule and work as much or as little as you choose. We’ll show you how.
  • Be paid for your passion. You are getting paid to provide help you’d probably do for pleasure anyway.
  • Design your life. Your new design skills will almost certainly benefit your own environment.
  • You’ll also find it fun.

#interior design accessories

Room Accessories

Perhaps the most important part of finishing any space is its styling.

Twenty per cent of a design project involves the purchasing and placing of accessories and finishing touches.

Accessories add colour, texture, shine and punch to a room and often are the elements that complete the design concept. Even if your style is minimal, the right pieces placed in the right location will define the look of the room and give it a designer s touch!

Art, pillows, throws, candles, vases, glassware, decorative fixtures and furnishings are the pieces that personalize and individualize a room. This is the last element of a project and a final step in completing a space that reflects your taste.

Watch how accessories can complete a design concept and finish a room.

Making space your playground

“I was in the Science stream but that didn’t hinder my passion to pursue a design course. I went to SP Open House and after looking at the works that were exhibited, I was very sure that SP Design School was my top choice. I enjoyed every lesson and assignment that was given and even initiated to do more than was required. I was surprised at my own motivation and enthusiasm! Under the Industry Mentorship Programme, I was attached to an Architectural/Interior Design firm which was an eye-opening experience and gave me lots of exposure.”

The Best Apps for Interior Designers

Mark on Call

What It Does: Mark on Call from Mark Lewison is one of the most intuitive and versatile floorplan apps available. You can create customized floor plans for an entire house or just one room—and you can customize them to include your specific furniture dimensions, as well as your personal fabric and paint swatches.

Why She Loves It: “Mark On Call makes it so much easier to know what will fit where. Genius!”

One Kings Lane

What it Does: The One Kings Lane iPad app gives users direct access to the site’s collection of discounted home goods, all of which are hand-selected by top designers and influencers.

Why Shy Loves It: “I’m a big fan of One Kings Lane, and having their amazing sales at the my fingertips makes me love it even more. It’s both helpful and dangerous to get push notifications when new sales start because I always find something I must have for my clients (and often myself!).”

Advertisement – Continue Reading Below

What it Does: The Pinterest app gives you the same functionality as the popular website directly from your tablet, allowing you to pin and browse on the go.

Why She Loves It: “I use Pinterest in the field more than any other app. It’s great to show a client that chintz doesn’t have to be grandmotherly or to see if anyone has used Benjamin Moore ‘Steamed Spinach’ in a kitchen. I find myself reaching for it daily.”

Who: Amy Preiser, ELLEDECOR.com Editor (not an interior designer)

What it Does: It gives you the tools to search ELLE DECOR’s archive of interiors by room and style, save and share your own LookBooks for client reference and inspiration, and keep a selection of ED’s best advice handy.

Why She Loves It: “Obviously I’m biased, but I recommend this app to all my friends and I’ve heard nothing but rave reviews. In the mood for Electic dining rooms? Rooms by Miles Redd? Tada! They’re right there at your fingertips.”
